My Amateur Sculpture Painting Corner
This is yotoy.me, a hobby-driven archive for amateur statue painting—no professional barriers, just a space to preserve every moment of joy from working with models.
I’m an ordinary enthusiast of statue painting. By day, I have a regular full-time job, but after work and on weekend snippets of free time, I’d dive right into my little model world: the excitement of unwrapping a new original model, the care taken when mixing paints, and the focus of outlining textures and refining details stroke by stroke with a brush. Every step feels like a conversation with my passion.
There’s no complicated commercial purpose here—only the works I’ve created with my own hands. Some are characters from designers I admire (such as original models by Masato Ohata or Keiki Fujimoto), while others are small objects I’ve modified on a whim. The materials I use might not be “professional-grade,” and my techniques are still a work in progress, but every brushstroke holds my dedication and devotion to this hobby.
I built this small site for two reasons: first, to keep an “archive” of my works, documenting my growth from a beginner to someone steadily improving; second, to connect with fellow statue painting lovers. If you’re also fascinated by the interplay of paint and models, or curious about the details of a specific piece, feel free to leave your thoughts here.
After all, passion knows no difference between “professional” and “amateur”—it only matters whether you’re willing to pause, slow down, and take it seriously.
